Yoga with Jen on Mondays at 5:30pm

Jennifer Garcia, RYT 200, OT

I have been practicing yoga on and off since 2000.  I really found a love for it though as I began experiencing more stress and in dealing with some physical injuries.  Most significantly I turned to yoga to help with a frozen shoulder and the results of a minor car accident.  I have seen firsthand how yoga helped manage my stress, how it improved my physical wellbeing and how it kept me grounded through thick and thin.

Once I saw the consistent results with my yoga practice, I knew I needed to teach and share my journey with others which lead to the completion of my RYT200.

I am an avid learner – especially all things regarding the human body, our ability to manage stress and the importance of finding purposeful activities to engage in.  The more I participate in activities that make me smile, the happier I am, the less stress I feel and the more capable I am to manage my daily activities.

You can find me on the mat starting September 12, 2022 at Heart Space Yoga Collective on Mondays from 530-630 pm for $15 and at

Lindsey will begin offering Fire and Flow Vinyasa on October 4.

Lindsey Koeneman, RYT 200

Hello! I’m Lindsey, a 200RYT of Hatha Yoga and Ayurveda Yoga Specialist, located in Southwest Florida.

My yoga journey started in college (’98) as an elective course. Many years on-and-off the mat would follow, even through two pregnancies, but it wasn’t until after a car wreck in 2018, I would begin to take my personal healing journey more seriously. After 6 months of physical therapy and EMDR therapy, I decided to lean into my yoga practice more and the idea of teacher training. The forces of nature that comes with trauma can also shed light on the beauty of living in the present moment.

The audience I serve is diverse. Each class, from gentle to vinyasa, is an opportunity to bring a student closer to understanding the power of peace within their practice. In class I offer guidance to students and thread in dharma talk with touches of my personality. By returning to the sutras, pranayama techniques, asana suited to Ayurveda, meditation, mudras and mantras, my goal is to offer balance in their practice.

I strongly believe it is my dharma to serve the community around me by offering yoga, Ayurveda, meditation and sound therapy and feel incredibly blessed to do so.

In love and light, Lindsey

Lindsey Koeneman is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS)

Gina Franco, Yoga Teacher

Gina has been practicing yoga for about 8 years. She loves the mind-body connection that she experiences on the mat and has learned to incorporate that awareness in her everyday life. Through breath and movement, Gina has been able to transform her very stressful life into one filled with peace and calm!

She retired from her job as a high school Guidance Counselor in New Jersey and moved to Florida to change careers. She has been teaching and promoting the benefits of yoga ever since! Gina is a true believer in taking time to connect your mind, body, and soul!

Most of the classes that Gina teaches involve a lot of breath work, holding poses while finding the balance between effort and ease, finding your edge, and realizing your inner strength, energy, and power. Students are inspired and motivated throughout all the gentle vinyasa classes.

In addition to teaching Yoga, Gina is also a REIKI Practitioner, helping the body and mind to heal through positive energy. She is also a Life Coach. Lorena Ribero, RYT 200

Hello! my name is Lorena, I’m a 200RYT certified yoga instructor and ecstatic dance enthusiast.

My yoga journey started 6 years ago when I moved to USA from Bogota, Colombia, where I am originally from. I started yoga as a way of fighting depression and anxiety during a very uncertain time of my life and it totally changed my life for the best.

I believe in the power of yoga and meditation practices to help and heal people because I experienced it myself, no matter what your experience, culture, skin color or religion is, yoga is for EVERYONE. I believe in the power of mindfulness to bring peace into people’s lives and helping people find their peace is my true passion.

My yoga teaching style is a combination of vinyasa and dynamic yoga; I like to keep my class very fluid and fun by integrating elements of dancing and theater for body exploration. I like to include an instructed intention and pranayama for each class; I also often include guided meditations and chanting.

I provide a grounding and heart centered approach to mind-body wellness and strive to assist my students in finding inner peace, self-discovery, and growth not only in their pursuit of yoga but in their daily lives. To me mindfulness and meditation translates to how we live day by day, how we treat each other, and how we appreciate and respect the whole world around us. I believe this world could use some more kindness, awareness, and love. That is what yoga is to me, a way of giving love to ourselves and to the world.
